Short Biography

Onesmus is a lecturer at University of Embu in the department of Water and Agricultural Resource management where he teaches Soil Science and Horticulture courses. He previously worked as a lecturer at the University of Rwanda-College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (UR-CAVM), Rwanda. Onesmus has a strong academic background in Sustainable Horticulture and Soil fertility. He holds a PhD in Soil Fertility and Plant Nutrition with a minor in Statistics and a Master of Science in Horticulture and a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture, both from Egerton University, Kenya. 

Research Interests

Onesmus Ng’etich research interest are in sustainable horticultural practices and alternative crops in both dryland, rainfed and irrigated cropping systems, crop rotations, tillage management, fertilizer management and soil health.
